To get help from Shelter Friends, Inc. you must first complete a Request for Assistance form. Filling out this form does not guarantee your request will be approved. After we receive your submission, we'll review the information to determine if we can assist in meeting your specific need. We try to help as many animals and birds as we can, but sometimes we don't have the necessary resources. When that happens, we will forward your application to one or more organizations we think may be able to help you. In the meantime, if you are in immediate need of help for an animal(s) or bird(s) due to a life-threatening situation, below are some resources that may be able to assist you until Shelter Friends, Inc. is able to connect with you.

When contacting animal shelters, be aware the majority of them are not No-Kill facilities. Sadly, with the overwhelming pet overpopulation problem across the country, friendly and healthy cats and dogs are euthanized every day. This is not what anyone who works in a shelter wants to have to do, but when there simply is just not enough space for all the animals, tough choices must be made.
