A Way to Double Your Donation

Matching Gifts are a type of corporate giving program in which companies financially match donations their employees make to the non-profit of their choice.  This is how it works:
 

  • You check with your employer to determine if they have a Matching Donation Program.  This is usually managed by Human Resources.  They will let you know what the requirements are and the documentation you will need to submit to request your donation be matched.

  • If your employer does have a Matching Donation Program and you qualify, you then make a donation.

  • After you have made your donation to Shelter Friends, Inc. complete and submit the documents your employer requires. 

  • After your donation is verified by your employer, they will send a donation to Shelter Friends, Inc. matching the amount you donated up to the limit they set.
